Kandy, temples, a big rock and some spice

Sri Lanka   /   Tags: , ,

So, we are into our final evening in Kandy having taken in most it has to offer (we think at least). We have been to some traditional Kandyan dance, been to the resting place of one of the Bhudda’s incisors (yes, that’s right…. according to legend) and been to a tea museum. Today we took a ride North to Matale (spice gardens and essential oils), Sigiriya (ancient ruins of a palace on a large rock) and Dambulla (The Golden Temple and temple caves up some more steps).

Tomorrow we have booked ourselves onto a train heading South to Nanuoya where we can get a ride to Nuwara Eliya. This is a one night stop before heading on to Haputalle where we plan to go to some national parks and see the local wildlife and maybe some more tea including a visit to a tea plantation.

not sure why but when you type into the comments box it’s in capitals, when you submit it it comes up normal. Having too much of a good time to do any de-bugging though…

I like the woman in the front row trying to work her camera and missing the fire breathing!
